Jam session

Thanksgiving weekend our neighbor's nephew came down again and brought all his musical instruments. Keira had a great time rocking out with Elijah and hanging out with everyone.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with Grandpa and Grandma H. and Aunt Lee Ann. Grandpa and Grandma have a new kitten (teeny tiny!) and Keira was completely smitten with him. We've got about 47 pictures of the kitty and the kitty with Keira. Before we left I did remember to get one with Grandpa and Grandma! We also got to help Grandma decorate the Christmas tree.

Riding her bike

Grandma and Grandpa Weaver got Keira a big girl bike for her birthday and she's been practicing riding before the weather gets cold. She's motoring along pretty good-

With an occasional tumble-someone was trying to look at Mom taking her picture instead of looking where she was going and steered right off the sidewalk.

But after a few hugs and kisses she got right back on again.

Trick or Treat!

This year Keira decided to be a butterfly fairy with pink hair for Halloween. We went to Night Eyes at the zoo, the Halloween party at the library, and Trick or Treating at the mall so she got to wear her costume-and pink hair a lot this year.

Here's Keira trick or treating at the mall...

Valley West also had giant inflatables and all sorts of neat activities for the kids to do. This year Keira didn't need mom to hold her hand or go up the stairs with her-just jumped right into it. (Yes-mom shed a tear but I'm over it now-I swear)

We pried her away from the inflatables long enough to go get some goodies.

Here's Keira at the Halloween party at the library. We read stories, sang songs, saw a puppet show, did a parade through the library, and got a craft to take home. The party was the same day Daddy had his scope done so Keira told him all about it when we got home.

Digging in the dirt

Grandma and Grandpa Weaver started putting in their new patio a couple weeks ago so we went down to observe all the action.

As you can see Keira had a lot of fun playing in the dirt.

Climbing the dirt mountain was a big hit, as was sliding down.

She even got to hitch a ride in the skid loader with Grandpa-that was a lot of fun!

Adventureland

Grandma and Grandpa Weaver came up the last weekend in September and took us to Adventureland. Saying Keira had fun would be a bit of an understatement-she had a great time!

Here's Keira and Grandpa on the Chuckwagon.

They were going to ride the trucks together too but Keira decided she was a big kid and went by herself. Poor Grandpa-you can tell he missed a really exciting ride!

Grandma has the iron stomach-she and Keira went on the pirate ship and the balloons together. The rest of us just watched from a safe distance.

Keira also went on her first roller coaster. She barely squeaked through the height limit but had a good time. Last year she only rode a few rides that were pretty tame but this year she wanted to try it all!

We finished the evening with supper at Lone Star.
Keira was in hog heaven-chickens and macaroni.

Happy 4th Birthday!

This year Keira decided she wanted to help decorate her cake and she wanted a Diego cake. So we bought Diego cake decorations and she picked out balloon shaped candles and red icing to write Happy Birthday Keira on the cake.

Since my cake decorating skills are awful we asked Grammy to come up and do the actual writing. Grammy was a little concerned when she was done because the icing was runnier than she'd expected and the letters were bleeding together a bit.

No worries Grammy-it's Keira the cake decorating diva to the rescue...

Needless to say the cake was a little on the crunchy side but the birthday girl was very proud of her hard work.

No surprise she had a good time and enjoyed all her presents. She's all ready hard at work planning birthday number 5-think she is going to have a hard time waiting all year!
